Try this when it cannot locate a driver on usb:

click on manual specify location and point it to c:\windows\system32 and check the 'search subfolders' checkbox.

I tried searching in the Windows/sys32/including subfolders for drivers. It installed the driver for my flash drive and my laser mouse. BUT although it labels the devices correctly it then continues to try to install the device over and over and will fail as usual. The devices will not work although they were installed at least once correctly. What gives?

I looked at set up before fully booting up and everything looked OK. I haven't changed anything major so I didn't reset to factory defaults yet. Now I have different things happening. The drivers install from the sys32 folder for USB devices but once it is ready to use..it keeps trying to install and look for the drivers endlessly. I close out and close out and then I have the question mark in device manager because it supposedly has no driver..but I'm using it. I'm sure it will not work if I don't use it for a while or have to restart. I'll have to go through the installation all over again. This is NOT what I call plug and play.
