Importing your pst file is a bad idea. It corrupts the file in many cases. You should copy the file to the hard drive and use File, Open Outlook Data File on the menu to open it.

I never had a problem importing .pst file and I do it all the time.

NEVER, import a .pst file.  Just point the data file locator to where the existing .pst file is.  Simple.

Thanks for responding. I resolved this issue by a clean re-installing of Vista and the Office pro. So far, I just downloaded my mail and let it go at that. So I start relatively new, but at least it works now.
