You may want to check if it's just black ink or just color. I've started having trouble with my black ink not printing, but if I have color on the page it will print. If it's a text page of only black, it prints blank...
I remember the docs that I tried to print as all words - no color. Did you reach a solution to the problem or is it time for a new printer? I emailed Dell support for help. They were useless.
Before you give up, go through all of the maintenance steps, and try a new ink cartridge. My printer is over 5 years old. It stopped printing black; color works fine. I was unable to get resolution...still no black print, so I bought me a new HP printer today. Good luck!
