I'm having paper feeder jams too. It only worked the first few times and then after that, nothing, crooked every time. I can't get anything to go in straight, it gets grabbed from the right hand side every time and feeds in diagonally. IMO having only one roller all the way to the side, instead of two rollers or one in the middle, was a serious design flaw. It doesn't matter if it is one sheet or 100, it pulls from the side and goes in crooked.
They should have a recall of this printer, it has a bad design flaw. AT least my 30 days are not up yet. I just hope I can get a refund instead of a replacement.
I have had my 920 dell all in one for about 3 months and it has just begun to mess up. I can use my photo paper with no problem, but when i use the regular paper it jams. The paper goes right and keeps trying to print, but the paper does not move. I have tried different reams of paper and still does not work.
I've had my printer for 3 months. I have done some heavy printing and have not had any problems. Have you all tried not having the paper guide too tight on the paper? I had one problem once with the paper feeding in unevenly but it was because of that.
I have had the same problem. My All-In-One printer is jammed. It doesn't feed right and rolls to where it looks lobsided. I have gone to the Dell Suppport website and it says the same thing, none of which help me. Does any one have any ideas on what I could do to fix this problem??
I have just developed the exact same problem. Good for exactly 3 sheets, and then every paper goes in crooked, pulled from the right. I hope I can get this resolved. I have been happy with the computer and peripherals up to this point.
If you are not satisfied with these printers, request a replacement or DEMAND your money back. Dell will usually give you your money back as they have for me with my A940 after 6 months. You just have to talk wtih the right people and make sure you get it done the first time you call, DO NOT accept a call back from dell ever... get ti done right there on the spot. This is because I HAVE BEEN
PROMISED over 5 calls back from dell and got 0 phone calls in return. Thank you for choosing dell..... NOT
I have experienced the printer feed problems described in many of the postings here. I wish I had read these before I bought the printer.
I got very little use out of this printer. Now it pulls the paper to the right and stops - it will not feed a sheet of paper through. Does not matter what typer of paper, even the photo paper will not feed. Wish I never bought this printer - should have stayed with Lexmark!
I have yet to have a problem with my printer. I really do use it alot. I do make an effort to keep it clean by dusting it and blowing out any paper lint with compressed air. I also remove the paper and close the paper support when I am not using it. I do not use recylced paper and I use white copier paper. It seems to me that perhaps if there is drag that perhaps somthing may be obstructing the path, i.e. dust. Also, have you cleaned the roller with any solvents that may be adhering to the paper?
This is discouraging! i got the printer in mid-november, free with the purchase of a dell computer. now i know why! hoped it would be an easy fix until i read these forum messages, now i don't know what to do? after dealing with dell customer service several times i am amazed they win awards! if dell is better than the other companies at service...God help us! whatever amount of time you spend with customer service; one fourth of it is spent pushing option buttons; one fourth identifying yourself for the nth time and six different ways, one fourth explaining the problem again...and again...and again...and..; and one fourth getting a solution that doesn't work, or a promise never kept!...........how....oh how...DO they do it!? since my printer was a free promotion...can anyone suggest what i should do now? Thanks. Hawken54cal
To:magsupanova: I'd say you were lucky. I haven't printed more than 20 pages and they were feeding crooked from the first page!........I mean what's with this right side only roller!!? I had a $100 Epson Stylus 600 for 5+ years.. printed thousands of pages, photopaper, everything! Never had to do a thing to it. I had thought that Lexmark and Dell would do better than this.
I was able to get a replacement printer from Dell. I worked online with Tech Support. We exchanged a few emails, when that did not resolve the problem, they shipped me a replacement printer. Once they agree there is an issue, a replacement printer was sent overnight.
Good Luck!
