AIO 924 + Vista over my Family network

Question

OK so we have a home network with 7 computers on it. Out main computer which is running WIN XP has the AIO 924 Printer installed and is set to share over the network, and does very well with all WinXP computers, but both my laptop and my moms laptop which are running Win Vista can not connect to the Networked printer. I've tried downloading the Vista version of the drivers from the dell drivers site and that still hasn't worked. Does anyone have any suggestions. All the help that I've found so far on this forum gives support for standalone printers not networked printers. I hope theres away to fix this. I've tryed everything I can think of, Even tried installing the Vista version of the drivers on the WINXP system and tha still didn't work. Thanks for any help I get.

Same troubles here. Tried installing vista drivers to vista notebook, no help. Tried installing vista driver to xp computer that's connected to the printer and trashed it's ability to communicate. Where's Dell? I guess we have to figure it out for them? Rotsa ruck!

Printer Sharing on XP/Vista Network Go to Control Panel. Choose printer. Then choose Add Printer. Choose Add a local printer. Click on Create a new port. The default in the drop down box is Local Port. Do not change that. Click Next. A dialogue box will appear asking for you to enter a port name. Type in the \computername\printername Microsoft thinks printers on a intranet are local.
