My monitor is not working properly

Question

I have a 17 inch DELL flat monitor.  It had been working fine but all of a sudden it has stopped.  At first it comes on and shows my desktop but only stays on a second before it turns black.  You can turn the monitor off and back on but it will still only stay on a second before going black again.  Any suggestions about what is causing this?

Probably your backlight. Get a nice RMA number from the good folks at Dell!

Hello, My Inspiron 6000 screen flickers then goes black.  Any ideas on how to fix?  Thx, Keith
