Would this be covered if your warranty was up? I still have couple months left in my warranty, but I had already done an exchange for this same issue a year back and now it happend again on the replaced monitor. I'm worried it will happen again next year but my warranty will be up and I'm stuck with this issue. Why does this happen?
But I'm just going to encounter the same problem probably a year from now and then I won't be able to replace it. If this is a known issue, isn't there like a special replacement policy in place for such issues.

If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use Chat or Email support to setup the monitor exchange.
If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in, 1-800-624-9896.
They will need the following information -
Monitor 20 digit PPID number
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
Issue
Troubleshooting done

jeeva86,
Would this be covered if your warranty was up?
* Nope.
* If the current monitor is under warranty and has the broken power button, get it replaced.

There is no special replacement policy.

I have several (4) 17" monitors with the same power button issue.
can a replacement part be purchased ? I can open the case and see the ribboncable circuitboard and button combination. it looks easy to replace.
Thanks
