Are you sure you have a wireless card?  Would you mind opening the slot on the bottom of your computer and telling us what brand it is?  Look for words like broadcom, truemobile, or intel.  If you need instructions on how to do this, just ask.

I will check which one I have when I get home.
 
I know it has wireless since it was on XP and this is supposed to be a combination driver for wireless/wired I believe as well.

i opened one and found a conexant modem and the memory, opened another one and found the dell bluetooth adapter 2u381

Actually on this system the wireless card is found under the keyboard. On your system you have an Intel 2100 card.

Can I use the Intel (R) Pro/Wireless 2100 LAN miniPCI Adapter driver for Windows XP then or is there one for Vista?
