I do not think an exchange will fix this. I have looked at that image on two 2407 A04s. The backlight is not the same throughout so the brightness is not the same throughout.
So maybe at service they can adjust the backlight so it can look the same all around the display?
* The factory has a set backlight specification that they meet. That is all that is required of them.
On your two A04's did the image encounter same different detail levels from one side to another?
* Nope.

Do not try to open it. Get it exchanged and compare it to the exchanged monitor that shows up.
If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use Chat or Email support to setup the monitor exchange.
If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in, 1-800-624-9896.
They will need the following information -
Monitor 20 digit PPID number
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
