Correct. The 3007WFP-HC will only do two resolutions -
DVI Dual-Link port = 2560x1600 60hz HDCP
DVI Single-Link port = 1280x800 60hz
Your PS3 must be able to send one of those signals. If not, (and your within the initial 21 days from the invoice date), return the monitor to Dell for credit and purchase either the 2707WFP or the 2407WFP-HC.
Hi, Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm actually very happy with my monitor on my PC that is. But I wish to use it for my PS3 too. I have thrown away the box because it was huge. Can I still return it? I only have it for 5 days. If I find a way to connect my PS3 to the monitor I'll be happy.
not to poop on the 2407, but you might want to read up on it as well, seems to have issues with 1080p, always 'fills' the 1080p image to 1200 pixels rather than show the bars on top/bottom... could be iffy firmware or could be a bad monitor on my end, but i'm just saying don't rush out and get the 2407. granted, its a great monitor, but these little issues make it completely worthless to me.
Thanks for the warning. I don't think I'll return the 30" It's a great monitor. I use it to play poker :) But it would be so nice if I could hook up my PS3. Now I actually have to go buy a small monitor that supports my PS3. That's just crazy.
I've recently put a Pioneer BD drive into my 720H2C/3007WFP-HC with Cyberlink v7 deluxe and i cant play hdcp content at that resolution at all. In order for any BD movie to play I have to drop to 1280x800.
My understanding of this was that HDCP and Dual-Link were not designed to go hand in hand.
If you know any different and/or a solution I'm all ears

You need to find a box. When we setup a return, we only send out the return airbill ticket.
