Dell 1703FP Monitor stuck in 640x480

Question

Hi all, I recently reinstalled XP on a Dell OptiPlex GX270 PC with a 1703FP monitor. My problem is that the resolution is stuck on 640x480 with 16bit color resolution. I tried to follow the instructions on the driver CD where it tells you to click on the 'Advanced' button under the 'Settings' tab in the 'Display Properties' window but the 'Advanced' button is greyed out so I can not select it. How else can I get the driver installed and the monitor properly configured? Thanks in advance, -Brian

A small correction: It's the 'properties' button under the 'Monitor' tab that is greyed out. I am still unable to install the drivers. -Brian

kurraider,The drivers must be installed in this order -* Intel Chipset<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> * Reboot when finished * Load the video driver from the list (you did not specify but if it is onboard, it is the Intel Driver found on that page * Reboot when finished* Then, load the 1703FP driver from the CD
