Well, I've had three 2407WFP-HC sent out to me. Every singe one was the same, yet every display had a different build date. Some say they can't see it, or don't care. Good for them, but just because you can't see it doesn't mean the problem does not exist, or that it it'n noticble by others, or doesn't warrent fixing.

After getting 3 displays that all do the same thing, I'm inclined to believe that those who claim it doesn't happen simply aren't testing it correctly and will probably never know that the issue exists as they'll never use it for anything that will cause it to be noticable.

It's not that we are just super picky, it's obvious what's happening under the right conditions:

I've had many displays over the years and I've seen cheap TN and expensive S-IPS panels both perform better than this thing. I don't want perfection, I just want something that doesn't make me feel ill about spending close to $1200 AUD ($900 USD!) when I see black streaks across the screen every time I try to play counter-strike.

So I have read every page in this thread, and I have seen a few people mention this.   I am 100% certain that the ghosting is related to the tempature of the monitor.  Generally LCD's are affected adversly by cold, this one seems to be affected by heat.  I just started up my monitor for the day and there is absolutly zero ghosting.  None at all.  This could be why some people have said they see no ghosting, they just havn't had their monitors on for a long enough period of time.  My monitor was on for about 8 hours yesterday, at idle and in motion.  It is 10:52am cst right now.  I am going to keep track of the time lapse between now and when ghosting becomes severe.

The temperature doesn't seem to have any effect on mine. I turned my monitor off for half an hour to cool it down, and as soon as I turned it back on there was still ghosting.

30 minutes isn't neccesarily long enoungh for it to cool down completely.  When something gets warm, there is a lot of heat saturation, especially in electronics.  probably several hours is the minimum.

I just placed an order on the 13th for one of these monitors but it has been delayed all the way to the 28th?!?! Are they fixing the ghosting issue or having some type of production trouble?

I am curious on the RMA policy since I have purchased a 2407WFP-HC from a local seller via ebay. The seller upgraded to a 27" almost immediately after he purchased the 24". It only had about an hour of run time on it. I am currently having an issue (as well as the original ghosting issue) - I get blue lines and color distortion when the monitor returns from power save mode. A simple power cycle will solve the issue but it shouldn't happen at all. This issue was also noted here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSYyAJZRMps After reading through this discussion - I would like to RMA the monitor once a new revision is released. However, I do not have a customer number or order number. I do have the original box and everything that came with it and an ebay invoice. Is it possible to RMA this monitor using just the serial number (20 digit)? Please Advise Thank you, Darren

confirmation that the ghosting issue is still there even with proper colorimeter calibration:

Also a full review and analysis. Looks like at least we know it's not an issue with settings, colour levels etc.

Like dhahlen  wrote , i'm also experiencing the same problem with the distortion after power saving mode.

Anyone else has this issue ???

I played with bios settings . Tried STR and S3 mode . In S3 mode , the monitor can't wakeup at all.
In STR mode , it wakes up but screen is flashing every 3-4 seconds and it's full of artifacts.
My VGA is a BFG 8800GTX and mainboard an Asus Commando . With my previous monitor i had no issues.

if you are running Vista, the problem is the Nvidia driver, I had the same issue, it is not the monitor.
U had to turn of sleep mode becuase of this, or go to older version of driver.
look on the forum below, on Nvidia's website, you may find something

I am also running a BFG 8800GTX OC - I am going to look into that Nvidia issue as well. However I am running an A-Bit IP35-PRO and Windows XP 64bit.
