I thought someone from Dell monitored this board. What email address can I submit this question to for a more timely response?

Thornwell,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Yes, all boards are monitored for violations of the forum terms of service.
But, moderators are not required to answer any or all posts.
The forum is meant to be a customer to customer message board.

In any case...
I tried looking for the part numbers you listed, but could not match them up to anything.
What exact system model are you looking for USB cables for?
Where did you get these part numbers?
In the future, if you need to E-mail Dell, you can find the contact information here.

Thornwell,

There is no meaningful difference between DP/N 0J2711 and 08K261 - they are both USB-to-external-floppy cables.  The manufacturer must have made some cosmetic change that warranted the part number change.

I have the Latitude D600 series and just experimented with both cables this morning.

Thanks for the timely post, btw.  I was unaware of the cable's function until I googled and saw your message.  I didn't realize the floppy drive had that external port!

I too just Googled the part number, and was somewhat discouraged when I got only one hit - but in this case, it was 100% useful! Like someone before me here, I didn't realize what that cable was, or that the floppy could do that! Very cool....

(Now I'm gonna see if it means I can use the USB floppy drive on my home PC, in which case I'm ripping the funky old one out of it! :)
