Mate, the 2407 doesn't acept 1080p over component, only vga and dvi. I have my 360 hooked up using the vga cable and get 1080p. Best one to use is the offical microsoft vga cable.
How are you guys liking the monitor? I'm thinking about getting the 2007wfp or the 2407wfp for work (graphic artist) and for my X360. Any issues? I would like to hear from X360 users.
As far as playing games goes its great. With the 2407wfp I get perfect 1:1 pixel mapping playing at 1080p (over vga only). No bleeding, motion jitter or any other problems. Playing DVDs is a different matter. I have been told that the 360 upscales over vga. Now either my xbox is buggered (unlikely) or the xbox upscaling facility is just really bad. My DVDs dont look any better to me at 1080p than in normal standard definition. I might not have my monitor on the right settings to see best results though. Also the monitor can look grainy when playing video.
Having said that none of these problems occur when playing games. If you want to play games at 1080p the 2407 is great in my opinion.
cool, do you have any pics of maybe a 360 game and a dvd.... So with the 2407 you do have the option of not having the game stretch to full screen. I rather have small black bars then having my 360 game stretch...
As for liking the monitor, had to get used to the larger real estate. I previously had 2 17" LCD monitors and it is much nicer having a single screen. The quality of the XB360 is great. I don't think it really stretches anything as I did not notice any distortions. For DVD playback, I don't have the HD addon for the 360 so I'm just using my PC's DVD player and it's okay. But I'd rather much watch DVDs on the large screen anyway.
This thread has been very helpful since I want to buy an xbox 360 and I want to run it on my 2407. What signal does the 2407 display using the vga cable: 1080i, 1080p or both?

With the default cable that comes with the XBox360, it will only do 1080i and not too well on the monitor - lots of flicker. I bought the MS VGA cable for the XBox360 and that will drive the 1080p, very clean. The VGA cable for the XBox360 also includes the 2 female RCA to 1 male mini converter so you can input the Xbox audio out to the PC's audio in if you want to use your PC speakers.
