Hi lori-panori, For I1520, the system can get up to 4GB but if you purchase it with 2GB of ram, 1GB each, then when you upgrade it, you need to remove all two memory modules and install 2pcs 2GB cards to be able to max the memory capacity. :)
Oh bummer... I was hoping it came with a single 2Gb module and a free slot, so that I could upgrade it later (when I have the $$$) by buying another 1 or 2Gb module for the second slot (to increase the total memory to 3 or 4Gb). But if it comes with two 1Gb modules, if I ever want to increase it to the 4Gb max I'll have to buy two new 2Gb modules... which kinda stinks. But oh well, what can you do.
