You can always order from Dell spare parts but I always use ebay because there are authorized Dell vendors out of Texas that sells these and for much cheaper price. Have you made sure the brightness is turned up enough?

I live in Ireland Texas may not be a practical solution I have tried the brightness option and even a chipset update ( has helped a few people) but no joy thanks anyway

Ok, but you might be surprised. May well be worth it. Can be shipped using the cheapest method. Good luck. Did you go into bios setup to look also?

Cannot see the bios setup as the crt will only start in windows using the fn key looks like a windows utility, I will do as you and take a look at ebay.

You might be better get the entire display and even used will work if it look ok. If you need any help let me know and I can also look as I have dealt with some of these vendors. Be sure you find the correct one for your system. Just like the one that came with it.

Cannot argue with getting a new laptop! I also believe if you found a display at a good price shipped it is worth fixing. Good luck.
