I can see you are a little apprehensive about your monitor choice and researching your concerns thoroughly.
That's a good thing:), being a smart consumer and informing yourself as much as possible will hopefully eliminate a poor choice and customer disappointment and grief.
If you haven’t seen this yet take a look at TFT central,
For everyone if interested.
My opinion and observations are:
When I purchased three 2407WFP A02’s banding was present in all modes including Desktop, this was totally unacceptable and this forum was loaded with complaints.
My 3 were exchanged for 2407WFP Version A03’s.
My three 2407WFP A03's don't GHOST at the native res. 1920x1200. Dell may say banding was corrected in a previous version, but it was well established here in this forum that banding was corrected in 2407WFP A03 in Desktop mode only and is better in the Multimedia and Gaming modes.
I don’t recommend 2407WFP’s (NON HC) in any version previous to A03.
If anyone purchases an older model Dell get all the info., the original purchase order number and whatever else Dell wants so you can transfer the warranty as soon as possible. If a seller can’t provide the required info. Dell needs for the warranty transfer, don’t buy it.
Anyone else like to comment on the 2407WFP Non HC A03's and A04’s if they have ghosting or not?
To dfish22,
Good luck on your decision and I hope it works out well for you.
Post your findings here on whatever model you choose if it’s a Dell or not.
Good Day All :)

It was actually these two posts that I was referring to: http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_monitor&thread.id=83793 http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_monitor&thread.id=83432 Were these isolated occurrences or are they really out of 2407's and started sending 2407-HC's as replacements from now on? Thanks.

Just an FYI to you. All 2407WFPs coming out of the repair center will be A04s. So all banding should be fixed in Desktop mode.

That should not be happening since they are different models with different part numbers.
