Does this sound familiar:
"I installed a fresh Windows XP on my PC with Creative Live 5.1 soundcard. I also upgraded the driver of sound card with the latest drivers from this site. My problem is this; Only in case there are switches between users (more than one user is logged on), I see an error message when shutting the computer sayingthat "DEVLDR is not responding, would you like to end?_"..I end it and the computer shuts. If only one user is logged on the session, this error does not happen (I tested several times). I uninstalled the card drivers and installed again, but could not find a solution. I also do not use the software of creative, but only the drivers.
Anyone here have an idea to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Well it seems that there are numerous files with the same name. There is one in the I386 folder, system32 folder and the system32\reinstallbackups\0000 folder. If you rename devldr32 (ver 1.0.0.22) in the system32 folder, another one will replace it. (You have to right click on the taskbar for Task Manager and end devldr first). But if you use devldr32 (ver 1.0.0.17) from the I386 folder the problem is gone. I also think that the one in system32\reinstallbackups\0000 folder devldr32 (ver 1.0.0.21) won't work correctly. I also had (ver 1.0.0.22) from the latest Creative update (I think). Feel free to verify this solution and comment if I am wrong, but it worked for me. Reboot when done to get the services running again. Another solution came when one guy said that if you copy the original file (devldr32) from the xp cd, but I did a search from my Dell reinstallation CD and couldn't find it. I think ver 1.0.0.17 is the right one.
