hi chris,
would do that of course, but my imac doesn't have a vga and i don't like to pay once more for an apple adapter which i don't like to use in the future, cause the dvi signal is the better one. don't know if it makes sense to convert a digital input to an analog and this again back to a digital image?
I do have the exact same issue here. The HC is from a Czech production.
Switching off and on again will help but still this annoying. Seems like the display is getting problems during warm-up.
I will try to test with VGA, but this will take some time.
Yap, TangoSWillaims, mine is from Czech Republik, too. Please post something if you've got experiences with VGA. maybe it's a dvi-cable issue or something. how often did this happen to your display? is it regularly? i will note it, when it happens again, too, so we maybe have a little summary of the problem.
Please provide me with the following information in a private message, not on the board -

hi chris! as ia m using an apple (new 24" aluminium g5) it's not possible to adjust any settings of the graphic/videocard. here are the specs out of the system profiler:
i asked some people, they told me, it's only possible to pimp or change settings of the card, if bootcamp is installed. but i don't need windows, so i can only tell you that i am using the apple specific settings. and i don't know them. sorry :(

Get an exchange and see if the replacement does the same thing. If it does, the monitors are not at fault. The issue is with your PC or the video card.

I put this in another thread but this thread seems to be the correct one so I will put it here too.
Hope that is OK.
I am having a similar problem with a Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC 24 bought in UK.
I had been running it for about a month when problems started to develop:
- Flickering thin horizontal lines
- Corruption in pixels at different areas: Flashing pixels, pixels with wrong color.
- Corruption of files in yellowish areas extending to the right after Icons and after text. Sort of as diffuse thick horizontal yellowish lines.
- Vertical lines as if the colors were poured out.
A simple refresh - changing to another resolution for a few seconds fixes the problems for some time - 15 minutes, an hour or two.
The problem then reappears after this time.
I am using a geforce 8600 GTS driver card and updated its drivers. I am using DVI and the DVI cable supplied with the monitor. Updating the drivers did not resolve the problem. I am now going to try another graphics card but the chances are high that there is something wrong with the screen. So what to do? The screen is otherwise wonderful.

Please test using both the VGA and the DVI. Any difference?
