I have a Dell E-176FP Monitor hooked up as a second screen (extension to my desktop) on a Dell Latitude D510 laptop running Windows XP. Just recently, the monitor has gone into Permanent Power Save Mode, even though I move my mouse or press on keys. The system still sees the monitor as out there as I can move windows over into the area. How do I get this out of Power Save Mode so I can see the extended desktop? Thanks.

Are you connecting the monitor directly to the laptops VGA out or using a d-dock?

Test it without the d-dock.

I think you should ask the Notebook - Video guys. I do not think the monitor is at fault here.

Turn off extended mode, click apply-ok. Then, turn it back on. Any difference?
