It was very noticeable last night, but when I pulled the power cord out a bit and tried to put it back in place again it made a 'fzzzt' kind of noise, so I replaced it with another cord, and it seems to have gotten quieter since. There's still a small noise if you put your ear up to it, but you can't notice it unless you put your ear up to it unlike before. If it starts up again I'll take a recording and link to it here. Thanks
Okay, now it has stopped working.. It turned off while on, and then I got it to turn back on for a while but then it flickered and went off again. Replugging in the power cables, trying different power cables, pressing the on button, none of it works. Looks like the humming I was hearing was more serious than just humming..
If under warranty, get it replaced. If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use

Hi, I have an E207WFP monitor and I too have noticed the humming. It only happens when the PC is switched off - even when the power switch has be depressed (off) - (i.e. Still consuming some power!) I take note of the advice given concerning replacement - just wanted to say to 'kestsjk' that yours isn't the only one.
Well, I got my E207WFP replaced and...the new one is humming as well.
I suppose then it is an issue with all monitors. The good news is that after I used the old monitor for a couple of weeks, the humming volume decreased a lot. It looks like the monitor has to 'warm up' for a few weeks before making this hum disappear (or become less audible).

I have not noticed this in the lab and yours is the first report of it.
