Mouse and keyboard inop.

Question

Last night I was using system restore through windows on my dimension 521. The computer was accidentally powered off during the restore process. Now the mouse and keyboard will not operate. The computer powers up and windows starts with no problems but the mouse and keyboard are inop. Using windows XP SP2 Home. Any suggestions??? I suspect possible issue with USB driver??? How can I get to operate???

Do they work before Windows boots? Can you press F2 to get into the BIOS setup? If not, then it is not a Windows problem. If yes, then it is. Peter
