Hello mate. I spent 8 months with a 1710 and went through the nightmare of driver releases from dell. In the end I gave up and returned the laptop. Anyway a solution. You need to go to laptopvideo2go.com and download the latest driver. I believe its now 169.09 which is optimized for crysis and a host of other new games. On the same page as the driver is a modded inf file. This is just a file that contains all of the graphics card that the driver will install for you. Of course on the modded inf is the 7950gtx. There is an online guide on the same website going through the process step by step. This does work fine as i installed all the latest drivers on my old 1710 before i jumped ship to Alienware.
