frequency out of range

Question

I have a 4500 with a ctr flat screen, xp. I changed the resolution on my computer and it rebooted but now it doesn't boot into windows. I get a black screen that says 93k/74Hz frequency out of range. How can I get into display properties to change it back? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Boot to safe mode. You should be able to change the adapter to something like standard VGA and then boot back to Windows. Then you should be able to change back to the original adapter and adjust the resolution.

For some reason it's not letting me boot in safe mode either.

You could try a repair install. That should not destroy any data or applications, but you should attempt to back up first if possible. Peter
