ozzeran,

The optimal preset resolution is 1680x1050 at 60 Hz. Try turning on ClearType and see if it helps.

* Click Start- (Settings)- Control Panel
* Clic Appearance and Themes
* Click Display
* Click the Appearance tab
* Click the Effects button
* Insert a check to Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts
* Choose ClearType
* Click OK
* Click Apply
* Click OK

Yeah that helped pretty good. Thanks for the quick reply, loving the monitor! As I love all other Dell stuff :D

I'm having the same flurry text issue with the sp2208wfp. Turning on cleartype helped a little but still the text look a lot worse than my previous Ultrasharp1800fp. Any suggestions?

I've got blurry text on my sp2208wfp monitor at native resolution.

Messing with cleartype settings and contrast do not resolve the issue.

I think this is a bad monitor.

I hope Dell comes out with a solution soon or I will be returning mine.

You should stick with the UltraSharp.

That's what I did. I returned the sp2208wfp and am still using the 4.5 year old 1800fp.
