Assuming you mean that you are unable to "eject" a disc....Go to "my computer" and right click on the drive and select "eject".  This may not be a problem just a quirk that happens sometimes.

Hi AJtrek,

Thanks for the response. While I'm able to eject the CD/DVD using the RightClick Menu in the my computer, this happens when I press the eject button on the media center button pad above the keyboard.

I spent two hours with the Dell Support, while they helped me as much as they could, but still were not able to fix the issue. This is one of the kind of then issue that they have faced so far. Even their solution knowledge base did not have answer per them.

I am trying out few other options, if it works fine else i plan to return it.

Thanks and regards,
Vis

Hi!

Does anyone knows a solution for this? This makes an eject button really useless.. =((

Thanks.

I can also confirm that Rev. 10 resolves this particular issue. Thanks!

I found one more really annoing thing, maybe even more annoying than this freezing. When I use my drive (copy from it, burn cd or dvd) I can not do regualr things. For example, I start to burn a DVD data disc and want to watch a movie at the same time. Movie playing will be very faltering. The same issue with music. For instance, I am listening music from hard drive and copy something from CD to the same hard drive or to external(usb). Music will be faltering. I find such behaviour very strange, because since 80386 processors have built-in multitasking and Windows is a multitasking OS too. I never had such issue with my other PCs and laptops..

Can anybody else confirm this bug?
