Ooops, my post got removed because apparently I violated the TOS for suggesting some action. :emotion-4: Well anyway, I guess we all know already how many people are unhappy with Dell's service and if they do nothing about it, it's mainly their loss. There are so many other brands available right now, most of which have a dedicated service centre in the country. I don't think any of their product is completely and totally superior to any other product available, so I am guessing if you feel cheated and disappointed with Dell, then you would naturally switch to another brand. I am just lucky that they actually have a representative or reseller here in Indonesia, although despite of it, I will not buy any product from them anymore. Saves me (and them) a lot of hassle and trouble. :emotion-5:

I also recieved a news report yesterday from Yahoo news alerts stating that DELL had fallen below Acer in the computer markets. DELL until recently held second place. Its funny really because I considered Acer has a tacky make. Maybe people have been turning to cheaper products during the recession but I like to think people are just getting plain fed up with DELL just like me. Ive only two words that comes into my head when thinking of DELL sales and thats Delboy Trotter.

Problem is, there doesn't appear to be a way to ever unsubscribe!

I have completely given up on dell despite previous problems I decided to make another order since they had a great deal on the PS3 console and accessories.  Well I was checking out my status and they decided to cancel my order completely... I guess they really do not want my money!

Yep DELL dont like honest posts, they will lie, they will cheat, they will steal but they wont allow you to write a post that contains words that we all honestly feel like using after our dealings with them. heres an advert http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTVIEWPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=498527

What a monster supercool machine that is. I think DELL charges about 3/4 of that price just for that CPU. I'm such an idiot I spent nearly that amout on a machine that is a 10th of what that machine is and seeing has this thread is about customer support complaints. There customer support is the worst Ive ever experianced.

Well, Dell has been saying they are going to ship me a replacement computer since I last posted here.  12 days ago I called and they said the order had been placed but they are escalating the issue and that I'd have my replacement in 10 days.  I still don't have it or any word from them.  So I will be on the phone tomorrow trying to find out when they will send it.

Now get this my warranty runs out in January.  I keep getting emails to renew it.  Could it be that Dell is just going to drag this out til my warrenty is up and then say so sorry too bad?  Looks like it to me.  I believe that is fraud of the worst kind.

Now who do I talk to to get this done NOW!!!  Can anyone answer that for me?   This has been going on since Oct 22 its now Dec 3.  Even if they built it from scratch which I sincerely doubt, it wouldn't take this long to get to me.

I am trying to find out how to file a formal complaint. I called Dell tonight to inquire about returns. The representative I received became extremely hateful because I had contacted the wrong "department". I told her it was not necessary to be a 'you know what' and hung up. This woman has called me numerous times at home tonight, cursing, and then hanging up. Anbody have any idea as to whom I contact to report harrassment?

I think Dell has one of the worst cusomter service's ever!!! I ordered a gps a couple months ago and when i recieved it, i decided i didn't want  it so i shipped it back and i was never credited back. I called dell and they said they would process the refund but never did, in all it took 12 e-mails and 8 phone calls over the period of 6 week's just to get a refund, this is a joke... horrible service and i could hardly understand what these people were saying, being that they were from India i assume, just recently i order modern day warfare 2 and dj hero and after three days it was still processing. i called dell and they needed an authorization to complete order, like me calling them again! confirming who i am and after that the order was shipped next day but i still haven't recieved that ups tracking num/e-mail which everyone get's when order ships. The order says shipped but tracking info is not available and the estimated delivery is for today but i didn't recieve anything and still no tracking num. I am so mad and i cannot call till tomorrow being the service num. is closed. I also purchased a computer a while back and it was delayed twice and that took 6 weeks to recieve, oh fix the automated service its confusing, agravating, and pointless... just pushing zero is good enough to get to a rep and tell them your problem.

One other thing the people from India do not transfer you to the Supervisor, they say "hes not here" or "I must hang up now" I also get transfered to different place's when asking for the Supervisor, which is being done on purpose so they won't deal with me... I guess dell doesn't care about their consumers

You need to keep a record of all your communications with Dell tech support Laura, such that - should it be necessary, you can prove you were having the problem whilst the system was under warranty, but you were unable to receive appropriate support during the warranty period :emotion-55:

If one of the official Dell rep's doesn't happen to read your complaint, and offer to try and help, then all I can suggest is to try escalating the problem using the 'Unresolved Issues' link at the very bottom of this page :emotion-6:

Now keep in mind this has been going on since October 22, 2009.  I keep hearing the same things over and over.

1:45 Called on December 4th, person answered, looked over my file and then stated "I see you cannot connect to the internet." To which I said no, you were supposed to send me a replacement computer back on October 22.  I called back in mid november and the person claimed that they had escalated it and I should get it in 10 days and if not call back.  Still no computer.

2:00pm Was disconnected.

2:01pm: Called again have new person looking up my file.
Now they are saying their laws have changed. I asked if they had been changed since Oct 22, he said yes.  then he proceeded to state  It was put through, canceled, then resubmitted, now the guy is tryiing to tell me it was the wrong os installed.  asked for supervisor.  put on hold at 2:11pm

2:13 came back on supervisor not available, then proceeds to tell me the order is not canceled out...its still proceeding.  I said I will wait for supervisor...he said but order is still proceeding.  Put on hold at 2:15pm

Supervisor Vincint came on at 2:17.  System replacement processed.  Now in order status.  Yet he cannot pull up order number.  they left note to contact order people and wait for their reply and would call me back.  Asked for his supervisor, put on hold at 2:20pm

Supervisor Danial, floor supervisor came on at 2:23.  Original order was canceled because it did not have window 7 so a new order was put in December 4th.   Sending xps9000 office 2007, normal applications, 500 gigs hard drive video card 3 gigs ddr3 ram. dual drives.  said they will contact me when they get the the ship date. Says he is going to call back in 24 hours and will escalate the issue further.  Also will deal with my concerns of no call backs when promised.  Told me to rest assured he would handle this personally.  Call ended at 2:30 pm.
***Note when I talked to them back in November they said they were sending me the xps9000 studio.  If you look it up it comes with Window's 7, yet now they state it did not have the windows 7 so they canceled the order.  I looked the rig up on their website in November and it clearly states this comes with windows 7.  *scratches head*

I will be calling back tomorrow am.
They always say they are escalating the issue, yet when I call back I keep getting the same old tired excuses.  I've had two of my post deleted as they contained no no's  hopefully this one wont be.  I see there are moderators to remove posts but no moderators to provide assistance.  This is quite frustrating and disappointing to a person that has been a Dell customer for 10 years now.  They used to have customer service, it appears that is a thing of the past.

You are correct on that.  My husbands new laptop took a dump, its not a Dell and I won't mention brands because it will probably violate TOS.  Well anyway, he called them.  They had him run the diagnostic tool on the laptop.  It came up with the issue, they gave him a code to have it shipped back free so they could fix it and return it and told us where in our town in Arizona to take it to ship.  Said it would be repaired and returned in 14 days.  Total time on phone 30 minutes

Went to the shipper they boxed it and shipped it out at the companies expense.  Laptop was returned repaired  in 5 days.

Now my question is why cant Dell provide the same customer service.

No do this do that...run diagnostic...tell me what it says ok then lap top ship it back at our expense, desktop we send tech.  What's so hard about that.
