Latitude D600 DVD problems

I am having problems with my laptop.  My cd/dvd combo drive can read cd's but not DVD's.  When I try to do diagnostics is says DVD working properly.  When I go to play a DVD I receive an error message "unable to play DVD may be a problem with the video subsystem.  One message did say to try and lower my screen resolution but that did not work.  Running Windows XP.  Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem.  I checked the accelerations.  All three are enabled, but there are notes that state:  The file ati2dvag.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs(WHQL).  You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

What do I buy?
