Exactly how are you trying to do the upgarde?   Where did you get the new drivers, from the Intel web site or from the Dell web site?

Did you have stability issues before the upgrade?  If not, then revert back to the old drivers.  Don't beleive everything you receive in alterts from Dell.

Steve, Yes. I do have instability before the upgrade. At the first times, i able to upgrade to the latest version, but then after sometimes i hit several times of disconnected issue again. So i revert it to the older version. And because of that, Dell support on and off prompted me to upgrade to the latest version of the wireless software. Since my connection is still not stable and Dell kept on prompting me to upgrade for a better connection, so i try to upgrade to the latest version again but then i hit the error message as i had mentioned it earlier in my message. Or do you think that i just forgot about the upgrading and just let it be like that? Anne

Try this instead.  Go to the Intel web site and download and install the latest drivers for the wireless adapter from there.
