VickyT,

I'm just a little confused.....

So (excluding the envelope feeder), how many paper drawers do you actually have?

You are saying you don't want to use the standard tray at all? Curious why not?

As to your questoins about size, all you should need to do is ensure the rear fence on each tray drawer is set to the correct length (Letter or Legal) and the printer detects the correct size paper. It will know what size is in what tray. Then it should be just a matter of sending the correct sized print job to the printer and  it knows where to pull paper from. Correct sized print job means the page layout/setup has been specified as letter or legal paper in your application.

I have 2 trays.  I am referring to the flip out tray that you place sheets of paper in that is just below the envelope feeder.  In order to currently get a print; the staff loads paper on the flip out tray & the printer seems to default to that.  The flip out tray has to be down in order to have the envelope feeder attached.  They aren't even using the standard trays as it keeps giving them a paper jam error and beeps.

I set the options yesterday to reflect that there was an envelope feeder and a 2nd drawer added.  The IT person that originally set it up apparently didn't get to that at the time of setup.

Now we keep getting this messsage  982.13 Service Engine Comm.-we turn it off then on to get past it.
