You shouldn't need to update your BIOS for the new RAM.  Here is a quick test:  Install the RAM without flashing the BIOS to new update and see if it works.  Sound simple enough?

Check the info for the BIOS updates after your version to see if any of them fix a problem that you have. If they don't then you probably don't need to update. And all you would need is the latest version because it includes all fixes that were in the earlier versions.

Plug the memory in once you recieve it without installing the BIOS update and see if it works.  That is the easiest and quickest answer you will get.
 
Very simple and not dangerous.  If it doesn't work, the BIOS should just halt during boot.
 
I like to go by the rule; if it isn't broken, don't fix it.  This applies to your BIOS most definately.
