If davet50's solutions still do not solve your problem, try going directly to the manurfacturers website and downloading the video driver from their website. For example, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT video card with my Dell XPS 420. I downloaded/reinstalled the video card driver directly from the NVIDIA website.

You will need to know the model of your video driver. Check the paperwork that you received from Dell. It should tell you exactly which video card you have.

Good Luck

I've had the same wandering mouse issue. I've downloaded video drivers and dell drivers for the the mouse and keyboard. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work... in fact, the issue has gotten worse. I've also tried that white paper on the mousepad trick, to no avail.

My mouse will barely work - when it does, it floats, skips, you name it. It's annoying to say the least. Someone please help!!!
