Sounds like the same problem I had with my 1730. When it did the same thing with a new adaptor,Dell was going to replace the motherboard. But since they already replaced the graphics cards, I had them replace the whole system. So I can't tell you how it turned out. Good luck.

Check your connections. Make sure they are firm at three ends:
- WallPlug / AC
- AC / Adaptor
- Adaptor / Laptop
