How make Inspiron 9300 boot from CD first?

I am trying to run the Microsoft memory diagnostic on my Inspiron 9300 but the computer boots from the hard drive even though the CD drive contains a bootable CD. How do I change the boot sequence to boot from the CD first? I did not see anything in the BIOS setup program. As an alternative, is there a built in memory test utility provided by Dell? If so, how can I access it? Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have my 9300 booted up right now (packed away), but you don't need to change any BIOS settings. At one point during boot, you should have an option to change the boot order on a one time basis during boot. Hit the key and the boot menu comes up. Select 'CD Rom' (or whatever) and you're in business.

tap f12 at startup and you should be presented with the one-off boot menu.
