Inspiron 1150 will not accept dell issued power cord

Question

My Inspiron 1150 will not accept the dell power cord sent with it, plus I have purchased 2 additional cords from Dell.  This computer was sent to Dell 3 times while under warranty.  I am still have the same issue...has anyone else been able to solve this problem?

You will either need to have the power jack replaced by a soldering shop, or replace the system board.
