Hi,

What about the pink tones?   Do you see any of that?

No there is no noticable pink tone on mine, just brighter on left side, especally bottom left.

I just got my monitor yesterday and jsut want to see if other A00 owners have the same problems or not.  I fear an exchange will yield one with both bright and pink problems...gotta think about this and use it for a few days to see if I go crazy or not.

What is the return policy?    14 days?   or 90 days?

Hi,

I also notice the left side being brighter than the right.  I turned down brightness and contrast a bit but it is still noticable on dark gray backgrounds.  Interestingly, it looks great on white and black backgrounds, jsut the in-between greys and colors are a lighter tone about 15 percent of the screen leading in from the left edge.  Don't know if this is common across the product line???  I fear a exchange would garner the same or worse result.

21 days I think for a full new monitor replacement or a refund of your money.

After that they would likely send you a refurbished replacement unit for the remainder of the 3 year warranty.

Hi mpdesigner:

Try unpluging your monitor from the computer and it will go black with the color bars floating around.   Stand up and walk around your monitor and see if you see any pinkish tones to the black screen.

No pinkish hues, just a brighter cast on the left side of the display with the brightest being lower left.

I turned the contrast way down and looked and can see the center is darker and the lower right is lighter.

It is unnoticable with white or black backgrounds, only when there is a dark grey background or some duller color backgrounds.  Punchy colors seem to look fine.

Hi,

I currently have two 2408WFP's and would like to confirm (for Dell's benefit) that I notice something similar on both of them.

If I display a black background, about 4 inches on the left side seems to be a little brighter than the rest of the screen.

There seems to be a slight reddish hue to the bottom 1/3 of the screen.  It's noticeable if I display a perfectly white screen.

Also, try displaying a magenta rectangle on a black background.  Do you notice a red shadow on the left and a blue shadow on the right?
