Sure, that is not a problem. i have two copies already.
The problem is that the printer will not print anything although printer drivers give no warning. It is seemlingly properly installed on a WinXP machine.
The printer shows no message when I attempt to print. If I brind up the printer properties does it show 'Letter' in ther 'Paper available:' field. if I open 'Printing Preferences' is it set to A4. Pressing 'Default settings' crashes the process with 'Function adress 0x6e682b89 caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xc0000005). The application property sheet page(s) may not function properly.' This also crashes explorer.
All settings on the printer are set to A4. I have gone through the full hierarcy to make sure of that. I have no letter sized sheets around. As previously mentioned have I meticously gone through the web interface to make sure that everything is A4.
What this means is that printer might be set for A4 size, the driver set for A4 size, but if the application has the page setting formatted for Letter size and you send the print job, it's not gonna print.
Let's back up slightly.....
Can the printer print the driver test page?
1. Right-click the printer's icon
2. Click the Properties selection
3. Click the Print Test Page button
Now, you say the printer can't print anything (except the settings page) and does NOT produce any sort of error message when attempting to print.
Ahh, you are narrowing this down Sir. 192.XXX.XXX.215 for the web printer settingspage and the configure port section says
192.XXX.XXX.200 . That does so not compute.
I do not have the access rights to fiddle with those. I'll have to call sysadmin in the morning. Is there anything else you might think that I should check, while I am at it?
Thank you _ever_ so much for you patience and assistance. I'll mark that message as solution if so as soon as I can test it again.
Routers/servers have a default lease time, usually 7 days, but can be much less. If you turn the printer off for that period of time, the IP address can get re-assigned to another network component.
That's why it's always a goood idea to set the printer to a static IP.
I always set mine at the top of the IP stack.... for example: 192.168.1.253
This way, it's still on your network but outside the range of addresses the router/server will assign.

SO, I take it then with your answer that the Settings Page DOES print with no problem.
In the General section of the settings page, near the bottom, what does Default Paper say?
Is it Letter? or A4?

What do you want to know from the settings page?
Sincerely,

OK.... let's back up a little bit.
Will the printer print out any of the internal settings page(s)?
To print out the printer settings page(s):
1. press the Menu button
2. press the down button to Configure; press the <enter> button.
3. press the down button to Reports; press the <enter> button.
4. Printer Settings should be indicated; press the <enter> button.
The Printer Settings report(s) should now print using the default paper size.
Please let us know.

The print job you send the printer..... for what paper size is it formatted.... Letter or A4?
If you send a Letter size job to a printer set for A4, it won't print (and vice-versa)
EXACTLY what message do you see on the printer LCD when the issue occurs?

OK..... some rules on print job transactions
"Application overrules Driver overrules Printer"
What this means is that printer might be set for A4 size, the driver set for A4 size, but if the application has the page setting formatted for Letter size and you send the print job, it's not gonna print.

How is the printer connected to your PC?

What is the IP address of the printer? (from Printer Settings page)
Can you ping the printer from your PC?
Also, right-click the printer icon then click the Properties selection.
After the Properties page opens, click the Ports tab.
Click the Configure Port... button
What is the IP address shown?
Is it the SAME as the IP address shown on the printer settings page?

This is why you can't print.
Was the printer turned off for a few days?

You just rescued a small office from buying a new printer. Our eternal gratitude goes out to you.
