All,

* Only have the DVI connected to the video card
* Power on the monitor
* Power on the PC
* Press the monitor video Input Select button and choose Auto Detect (2: Digital Input)

Thanks for the advices.
Of course, I tried that but it does not work: the screen stays in sleep mode! I tried the cables on another computer and it works flawlessly.

I tried to boot in DVI then unplug/plug the cable from the video card while the computer was running: the screen led switches to blue but then immediatly falls asleep again...

In VGA, I have no problem...
Dell Support (France) told me they would investigate the issue because they already had this problem with other customers.

I have the same problem as those mentioned above.  I have an ATI Radeon X850XT video card. And when I try to connect the DVI cable to my new SP2208WFP monitor, I get no image.  The monitor goes into/stays in sleep mode.  Its like my vid card and monitor arn't seeing each other.

I installed the SP2208WFP digital monitor driver and did everything mentioned in the above posts, but nothing.  So I'm using the analog cable for now.

Has anybody heard of any solutions to this?

After unsuccessfully trying a lot of thing (replace videocard...), the only working solution for me was to replace my screen. The new one works flawlessly.

I'm not the only one who had this problem and got the screen replaced, so ask for a replacement if you've tried everything else...
