Hi Nick I have had the same problem with mine, expect along with the blue screen I sometimes get a black and green striped screen and I have to re-start my computer. This has been happening ever since I got my computer, and I have tried to install all new driver updates myself, and am getting frustrated. Also, is a message popping up telling you that your video driver or card is not compatable with your system? Let me know if you get a response from anyone.
Seem like maybe we have same problem. I quite convinced that my persistent problem was cause by my DVD. But I also experianced bluescreen when I didn't used my DVD, this make me wonder what the main caused after all ?
For your information I never re-install any driver until this day because generally my laptop doing okey except for blue screen. Did you used Inspiron 1420 too, jjew22?
I never have any popup regarding my videocard driver until these days, but sometimes there was popup telling me that my surrogate com was missing maybe due to unsuitable codecs for video that I'm playing.
