It would work great with a ps3 , it has alot of different inputs. The dvi , vga , hdmi etc all do 1080p, only problem is the component doesnt so if u r gonna use a ps3 with it use the hdmi, dvi or vga. Ive had alot of problems with the 2407 tho, im considering getting rid of it and getting a 2408 my self. My 360 looks fairly good over the vga on my 2407, i can only assume the 2408 will look better coz it has higher contrast and better colour.

What kind of problems are you talking about, when using component?
I have an early xbox360 without hdmi. I want to buy this monitor, because it's connections.
I am using the xbox with a samsung 205bw and the screen is upscaled. So a ring is not a ring, but an oval. But why can't i use te component?

dell monitors only do 720p over component if u wanna use 1080p its gotta be hdmi , dvi or vga. You can get a vga adapter for a 360 or ps3. I use one for the 360.

They must of changed the component in the 2408 then coz neither the 2407 normal or hc do it.

I have an vga adapter for my xbox360, but do I still have the problem that It upscaled 16:9 to 16:10 what my samsung does?

Or do i see 16:9 with 2 bars at the top and the bottom of the screen?

Edit:

This link said that it will accept 1080p over component

With the dell u can do w/e u want 1:1 , scaling with fixed ratio or fill which will stretch the image to fit the screen. 1:1 is what you will want with the 360 since it can do 1080p over vga.

You mean the old monitor in the old box? Since the serial numbers on the box and on the monitor have to match.

Interesting. Would I have trouble with the warranty due to the difference between the 2 serial numbers?
