The monitor has an integrated display controller which includes analog video processing. The 2407WFP used a Genesis FLI5962.

Okay, thank you for that information.  Do you happen to know if the 2408WFP and its integrated video processor can process and display 480i(interlaced) video signals properly?  The reason I ask this is because the vast majority of Playstation 2 games use 480i(interlaced) video encoding, so it would be pointless for me to purchase a monitor that cannot process and display 480i(interlaced) video signals properly, because I would not be able to even play most Playstation 2 games on such a monitor.  I have read that most LCD monitors cannot process and display 480i(interlaced) video signals.  Is this true?  Thanks.

The manual says, 'Video display capabilities (Component playback) 480i/480p/576i/576p/720p/1080i/1080p'.

I think, as you suspect, that 480i/p scaled up to full screen res. is not going to look too good.

Hopefully someone will post their experience.
