I doubt you have a "monitor USB port" in your computer or anyone else for this matter. Monitors are not connected via USB ports.

Whatever the deal, do this:

Start==>Control Panel==>System & Maintenance==> Device manager==>Keyboard==>Power Options Tab.

Check "Allow this device to wake up th ecomputer." You will be fine.I assume you've got Vista, haven't you?

I am having the same problem with a USB mouse connected to a 1905FP with Windows XP Home.  Been working fine until today.  Went into standby twice and both times mouse was dead when it woke up.
