USB active on 2208 monitor causes dead keyboard on wake up

Question

If I plug a flash drive into the monitor USB port and computer goes into sleep mode on wake up the keyboard is dead. How can I correct this problem? This message was posted previously and now i can't find.

I doubt you have a 'monitor USB port' in your computer or anyone else for this matter. Monitors are not connected via USB ports.   Whatever the deal, do this:   Start==>Control Panel==>System & Maintenance==> Device manager==>Keyboard==>Power Options Tab.   Check 'Allow this device to wake up th ecomputer.' You will be fine.I assume you've got Vista, haven't you?

My description is not the best. I am writing about the two USB ports on the monitor. Yes I do Have Vista.

I am having the same problem with a USB mouse connected to a 1905FP with Windows XP Home.  Been working fine until today.  Went into standby twice and both times mouse was dead when it woke up.
