Thanks for the solution, but I had a mini brainwave regarding the Display Properties/Settings/DPi Resolution. Probably the same time as you were typing this solution to me.
It was set to 120, but I adjusted it to 96 dpi.
It was the dpi setting and nothing to do with the drivers.

Resolution is perfect fine, no issues with that.
Did you try cahnghing settings of Nvidia panel?
Are you using the correct driver?
Did you try adjusting icon size/dpi etc??
