      I think I fixed it!

1. go to your sound icon by the clock right click and select sounds.

2. select playback tab

3. select speakers

4. click properties

5. click the advanced tab

6. select sample rete bar and scroll down to the highest setting / 24 bit, 192000hz (studio quality)

6. click apply and ok

This fixed my issue with music slowing, skipping, popping etc. While connected to wirless connection. SO FAR IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. Good luck!

Hi, I'm having the same annoying problem with my brand new Inspiron 1525. As soon as I switch the wireless card on, the music starts to skip or stuttering and when you turn off the wireless card, everything is back to normal without any kind of skips !

I've read a lot about this problem on this forum, and nothing seems to work. This is the best link I've found.

Anyone elsehave better idea to solve this problem ?

Thank you

if it vista , just go ahead and uninstall the card from device manager , it will be picked up and installed as a broadcomm wireless card , check if the problem repeats by doing this also or not.

I'm about to go crazy too !!!

It's a pretty stupid problem... I don't understand why Dell didn't catch it up when they design this laptop because it took me 2 sec to detect it !!! And if you look on this forum, we are not the only one who had this problem before.

They are losing a lot of new clients for this problems. I don't know why dell doesn't come with a real solution, i really don't understand. IS THIS SO HARD TO RESOLVE "dell"?

Today i instaled Linux Ubuntu and i had NO Problem with the sound when i used my wireless connection. NO Skipping, NO Cracking just the best sound ever. So this is more like a Windows and Drivers problem. Hope that Dell or Microsoft resolve this soon, cause i'm going crazy!!!

I used my notebook all weekend and was connected wireless with not one crack, pop, skip.slow down, or any other problem. What I did fixed my problem. I suggest everyone who has these issues to a total system restore.  Then the steps I took.

Is this fix for vista or xp?  I have xp and cannot reproduce your fix.  Any help would be welcome.  Thanks
