D620 with D/Port will not detect Dell DVI 1907FP

Except for the initial BIOS POST screen, my Dell Latitude D620 will not detect my Dell DVI monitor while running Windows XP.  Here is my story:    I have a Latitude D620 running Windows XP Pro with a D/Port (advanced port replicator) and 2 Dell 1907FP’s.  One monitor is connected to the D/Port via VGA and the other DVI.  Up until about 3 days ago I was able to run the monitors in Multiple Display mode (Dual Display).  Now, my laptop is not able to detect that I have a DVI monitor attached when running Windows XP.  When I first turn on the machine the DVI monitor displays the Dell POST screen but as soon as Windows XP starts the DVI monitor goes off and only the VGA monitor works.  The VGA always works.  If I plug in the DVI it does not work.  If I try to only run the DVI Windows XP will not display the screen.    I have updated the BIOS to A09, updated the Intel 945 drivers and also patched Windows except for running SP3.   I also updated the notebook system software or whatever that is called.   The analog VGA monitor drivers are current and since Windows does not see my DVI monitor I can’t even apply drivers to that device.   I deleted the Docked profile in Windows XP and that did not help.    Basically what this all appears to boil down to is that XP is not seeing the DVI monitor.  The Intel software only sees a Single monitor and I flat out cannot get Windows to work with the DVI monitor.I know that the monitor and cable works because it works on another machine and it also works during the POST (for the BIOS).    I have attached my rough system specs below.  Can anybody help?  This all worked 3 days ago and nothing has been added or removed from my machine other than what I was doing to try to resolve the issues.    System Specs: =========== Dell Latitude D620. As a quick test, I now have my Digital monitor working but now my VGA connected monitor will not work.

More and more, I am thinking that the D/Port port replicator for the Latitude D series does not support multiple external monitors. That is a bit of a bummer because when I bought my port replicator and my extra monitor the Dell reps said that this would work for sure.
