If i'm not mistaken there was a post about this 2 or 3 months ago about mcafee causing this and there is a fix,i do not have the link but you can find it on the mcafee site or search thru the forum.

Here it is  http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107120&lc=1033&partner=McAfee&type=TS&ia=1.

After I ran Hijackthis I uninstalled Mcafee since the subscription had expired. In its place I installed Symantec End Point Protection (includes Norton AntiVirus). The problem is still there.

Will run HijackThis again and post the result shortly.

btw.... I tried to fix it by repairing Windows...no luck....

I ran Dell Diagnostics and the following Error Codes and message was displayed.

Error Codes: 5800:3022,5800:0222,5800:04222

The common error message displayed for these notifications: Unable to stop non-boot processors. The system might be unstable and should be rebooted.

Hope this helps.

Should this be the cause when McAfee is uninstalled and no P2P software is currently running...

Uninstalled Limewire and bit torrent a while back....

Ive run into this problem quite a few times.. Some file shareing software uses your sytem as a pass through sever.. This takes up alot of your system resources and as well as the systems i have seen fall victum to this it is impossable to remove without doing a clean install of windows.. A pass through server is a server that just works as a buffer and many differant files pass into and out of your system viruses and all.. A verry bad price to pay for free files..Good luck...

I have read on the forum that most people who encountered this could not fix it after a clean install of Windows.

so am hesitant in doing it....
