Yes, power scheme is set to portable/laptop. It seems whatever driver it is that is needed should be somewhere in the windows folders, because every time I boot up and get the message "could not isntall battery driver" it then goes to the "Found New Hardware" wizard, where it prompts me to have it search for the driver, which it never is able to find.
I've checked the Microsoft site but they have no such driver there for download.
Would switching from Win 2000 to Linux fix this problem??? Does anyone have any idea about this kind of thing? Is it possible nobody really knows about this problem?

the driver should already be inbuilt into windows.
