What gets me is that you ordered it, they shipped it the next day and UPS took 5 days. Sounds like you ordered one from the outlet store. It takes an average of 1 week to build before it ships.
and after that they can't guarantee me a decent one...
Can u believe it?
The operator of the "customer support" said me: "Then you don't want your money back. I'm doing a new order, Ok? Bye..."
I said him: "Please, after this shameful situation for Dell you should guarantee me that you'll speak with a manager and that the laptop will be built in Ireland (where Dell produces the "Product Red" versions with LG monitors) or in Poland with someone that gives particular attention to my case".
He said he can't speak with anyone... he can just fill a new order or give me back the money.
I asked him "Wait, will u send me an email with inside a link or somenthing else?" and he answered: "U'll receive an email later"

Sorry. But you know if you cannot get the assurance from them about what you want you have 2 options here: Take the risk and hope you will be lucky. Or accept that DELL's service can give you that much and return it for a refund. Their customer care is not terrible but what they can do for you is limited and restricted because of their policies.
Aren't there any other choices you can consider for a certain price range other than DELL? I don't have any clue about what the pricing in Italy is though...
I have spoken with people that tried to change the monitor and they said that the technical scratched the palmrest and the new monitors (AUO too...) were always worst than the precedent...
Dell, where are u going?!
People would pay € 50-100 more for a good monitor... and you'll have less money to spend to change laptops...
I remember you that here in Europe we can not choose a WXGA+ LED monitor... it's available just on XPS 1330...

The display is the worst i have ever seen... and if u saw the pics u cannot say it's a good one...
If u go in a... supermarket... every cheap laptop (€ 500-600) has a better one.
I paid € 1250 for this Dell.

@bodybrndg
I called the customer support last thursday and i asked a new one.
I hope it will be not used by anyone... :smileymad:
Today i went to a shopping centre and i had the possibility to see 20-25 laptops.
Just the worst ones are similar to AUO monitors used by Dell...
Toshiba Satellite (€ 700) and a few Acer (€ 900) had warmer and more detailed colors...
Can you believe these AUO monitors have not just bad colors but uniform brightness too?!
Take a look to my Macro:

The right side has a lower illumination...
