Ricoh SD/MMC host drivers for 1505

Question

Hello everyone,   I am missing the Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller driver for XP on my 1505.  I have just the MMC drive in device manager.  I downloaded every Ricoh driver I could find from dell, Ricoh and else were (have ver 6.0.1.4 date 11/14/06 now) but each time it does not up date the MMC to SD/MMC hence I can not read my SD card.   any help?

Thank you for the link. I have tried this before but tried again.... regrettably in device manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI contollers there is only listings for

Ricoh Memory Stick Controller

Ricoh MMC Host Controller

Ricoh xD-Picture Card Controller

but no listing for a SD/MMC driver. :( Should I try MS KB923293? Would that help?

It should be listed under SD host adapters and not under IDE controllers for SD.   Your MMC should be listed under IDE for Ricoh controllers MMC

By George your right! There is now a Secure Digital host controller listed!! Ok now to get XP to see the Transcend 8GB SDHC class 6 card.... is this where I use MS KB923293?

It should already work with the card, but if it does not, then load the patch.

Well the SD controller is in the Deice manager but still could not see the card   After running the hot fix KB923293 from MS - now everything is working great!!  SWEET!! :)   Thanks for your help!!

I have the same problem, except after running the MS patch, it still does not read my Kingston SDHC memory card. This has been a problem since I recently reinstalled the Operating System. What else could be wrong?
