What did Dell say when you called them?

They said there was no specific reason listed for the delay, however they also said it would ship 3-4 days from now which contradicts what my email says.

From what I have seen, when there is a delay the Dell system automatically bumps your ship date up 1 week.  That does not mean that it will take a week to fix the issue but it is the system default.  So 3-4 days could be accurate.  I would keep on them and ask them for a tracking number when it does ship that way you can watch it.

Yah ive been waiting over a month for my system and it still hasent been shipped. Ive called about 3 times today and i get the same thing over and over that there is nothing they can do and they appreciate my patience. i need it for school too and they do nothing, nor will they give any compensation for the wait.

 

Thanks for having the worst customer service ive ever delt with dell!

So I called the automated order status thing a few minutes ago and it said the laptop was now in the "boxing stage". That is good news, but how long is the boxing stage usually, and how long till i can expect it to be "shipped"?

I feel bad that yours is taking about a month. My XPS M1530 only took about 8 days. It has pretty good  specs.
